Architectureworks’ design for the Fox Residence in Miami Beach earned in 2002 the Home Book Design Excellence Gold Award. The concept for the project was based on the juxtaposition of static and dynamic architecture. Several elements influenced the final product, including the client’s personality and the lot’s irregular shape as well as its context. The residence is an interplay of positives and negatives, open plans and closed plans, of lines and points, of pure and irregular geometries and of masses with both simple and complex readings.
